DOULA AND BIRTHFIT COACHING SERVICES

MY HOLISTIC PREGNANCY AND HOMEBIRTH STORY
May 8, 2022
When I first became pregnant, I made the decision that I was not going to receive any vaccines and neither was my baby. Additionally, I made the decision that I did not want to wear a mask while I was in active labor and during the delivery of my child. Both of these decisions led me down a path of discovery which resulted in a holistic pregnancy and home birth. Through daily research, I was introduced to a holistic minded and home birth experienced doula, Emily Stanwyck. She introduced me to Dr. Stuart Fischbein of Birthing Instincts, and Blyss Young, a licensed midwife who specializes in home births. Receiving care from Dr. Stu and Blyss, my birth education from Emily, and many hours of personal study on the risks and benefits of the routine interventions during pregnancy and birth; made me confident and relaxed going into my homebirth. I gave birth to my son on May 8th, 2022 at home with my husband and midwife. I did so without any induction/cervical sweep, no GBS test, no glucose test, no epidural, no Pitocin, no fundal massage, no shots, no C section, no erythromycin, no episiotomy, no vitamin K shot, no continuous fetal monitoring, no circumcision, optimal umbilical cord clamping, and no interventions or tests on my baby after birth. I have been able to successfully and exclusively breastfeed my son from 6 lbs 12 oz at birth to 16 lbs 10 oz in four months.
This success was not an “accident” and I was not “lucky”, a woman’s body is designed to give birth in a calm and intimate environment; not with bright lights, random strangers, synthetic drugs, and constant interventions. I intentionally declined all “routine” pregnancy and birth interventions. My son and I are healthy and thriving. Home birth is what humans have done for thousands of years. It is only in the past 100-150 years that birth has been hijacked and women have been brainwashed into thinking that their bodies are not enough. This has been done systematically and strategically for the medical system to profit.
Throughout my educational process I realized that the USA is ranked the lowest in the developed countries of the world, and 46th globally in regards to mother and infant mortality rates. The United States is quite literally THE WORST developed country in regards to health outcomes for mothers who give birth to their babies in the medical system.
Currently, the industrialized medical system in America kills 861 women each year through gross negligence, unnecessary interventions, and coercion into taking drugs which are not necessary for physiological birth to occur. This is data from the CDC, not my personal opinion (Donna L. Hoyert, 2022). Women are treated as incapable in conducting their own research about the capabilities of their bodies. We are shamed and scared by the medical system in order to become DEPENDENT on a system which is literally killing and injuring women in order to make a profit by making birth a medicalized event.
I am available as a pregnancy and birth doula in both Spanish and English. Giving birth is a natural function of the female body, if you are ready to learn the ACTUAL risks and benefits of the routine procedures and interventions which are widespread in the US industrialized medical system, send me a message.

Having had a child who battled cancer at the age of two, we lean towards holistic approaches. When I became pregnant with my second child, my husband and I immediately knew that we wanted an unmedicated birth with limited medical interventions. We didn’t know where to start when it came to research, and we are so thankful that we made the decision to hire Rose as our doula.
Rose armed us with valuable information to prepare for labor, and offered advice regarding specific medical interventions that were unnecessary so that we could make informed decisions.
Because of her guidance, we were able to confidently decline specific medical procedures during labor and delivery, and after our son was born.
When my labor began, Rose was available to answer my questions and guided my husband and I through multiple labor positions to ease the pain of contractions and help my labor progress.
Because of her support, I was able to do all of my labor at home. I remember her telling me that if I went to the hospital too soon, it would halt my labor and slow down my progress. She was absolutely right. My contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and my husband and I made the decision to drive to the hospital. After a cervical check, the nurse determined that I was only 1-2cm dilated. She said that my contractions were 4-5 minutes apart; they had slowed down just as Rose had said. I was a bit discouraged but left the hospital even more determined to continue my labor at home with Rose’s guidance. When she told me that cervical checks do not determine when the baby will be born, she was on point!
Forty-five minutes later we were back in the hospital and I barely made it in time to get checked in. My son was born 30 minutes after check-in. Not even 2 hours after the initial cervical check. All of the nurses were very surprised. Rose continues to offer support during my breastfeeding journey, it is so helpful to have someone to turn to for questions during this time.
Thank you Rose, you have truly been a Godsend.

As a parent whose daughter underwent many early childhood health complications, both my wife and I decided to take a more holistic approach with our next child. That is when we decided to onboard Rose as our doula to help us with our son's birth journey.
Rose provided essential information to help my wife and I prepare for labor. Rose was always available to support us through any questions or concerns we had as we endured this process. As my wife's caregiver, having Rose available at all times brought me a sense of relief and confidence that we were taking steps in the right direction through her guidance.
As my wife endured labor pains, Rose guided me over the phone and directed me on how to help her ease the pain of contractions with various labor positions and relaxation techniques. Through Rose's support, my wife was able to do most of her labor at home which was one of our main goals. Additionally, she went through labor with no medications and unnecessary medical interventions. Even after my son's birth Rose has made herself available to help answer further questions on breastfeeding and adequate nutrition.
Rose's servant leadership skills, passion for helping others, tactfulness, emotional support, and professionalism are some of her great qualities that make her highly recommendable as a doula. It has been truly a blessing to have Rose by our side during our son's birth and my wife's labor and delivery process.
Thank you.
