Rose Shoen, she is a mentor, a leader, and most importantly a friend.
Coming from a first generation family it was always going to be grind to get a formal education. Fortunately, Rose helped develop me into a competitive soccer player who was given the opportunity to further my education on a soccer scholarship. This would of not been possible without the direction and leadership of Rose and peers. Coming into college all I could think about was playing soccer. My college coaches, Rose, and other significant figures in my life, gave me the direction that I needed to be where I am today. I now have a business degree that has allowed me to become a project manager at a general engineering firm.
I have become an ambitious young professional that has nowhere to go but up. You can never forget where you came from and who helped you get there.
Rose will always hold a special place in my heart. Rose is the most selfless and giving individual that I have met in my 24 years of age.
